Ohio Theatre

The Ohio Theatre is a magnificent performing arts facility with stunning Spanish-Baroque architecture and a seating capacity 2,791. It hosts over 100 performances annually, providing visitors an unforgettable experience. Starting February 2023, the theatre has introduced accessible booster seats for younger guests, but availability is limited. To receive a booster seat, guests must ask for a house manager upon arrival. The Scottish-born architect Thomas W. Lamb designed the theatre as a palace for the commoner, and it opened in 1928 as a Loew's movie house, complete with its orchestra and theatre organ. During the vaudeville era, many famous performers graced the Ohio Theatre stage. Anne Dornan, one of the first women to graduate from the Columbia School of Architecture, decorated and furnished the building.

The Statehouse addressed the bill on spousal rape

State Senator Bob Hackett has introduced Senate Bill 109 to protect patients from sexually abusive medical professionals. The bill requires doctors on probation for sexual misconduct to notify their patients in writing. It allows the State Medical Board of Ohio to take action more quickly when a physician is accused of sexual misconduct. Prosecuting attorneys must notify the board if a doctor is convicted or pleads guilty to a felony or misdemeanor in court. Hackett hasn't seen opposition and is confident it will become law. I hope everything will be cleared about the bill and it will have a good use in the society.
